MIT Pune’s MIT School of Telecom has bagged two awards in multiple categories at the World Education Congress Asia awards ceremony held at Taj Palace in Dubai last Sunday, 25th September 2011 The Head, Corporate Relations, MITSOT, Ms. Shobana received these prestigious international awards on behalf of the institution.
These awards, held annually for the last 19 years, recognize individuals and institutions for their excellence in the field of education across several categories. Delegates from more than 15 Asian countries participated in the event.
The institute received the award of 'Best Educational Institute in Telecom’ for its revived curriculum especially designed to meet the latest trends in telecom industry, its unique teaching pedagogy and the research activities carried on at MITSOT.
The second award, ‘B-School with Excellent Industry Interface’, was presented to MITSOT for itsstunning placements andcorporate interface given to its students. Both the awards were bagged as a result of the student centric training imparted at MITSOT.
The awards were in the form of a trophy and a certificate, presented by the Asian Confederation of Business in association with CMO Asia and Stars of the Industry Group. The awards are given to individuals and institutions that have surpassed several levels of excellence and have set an example of being a role model.
These awards were presented to MITSOT by Mr. S.V. Nathan, Director, Deloitte Consulting India Pvt. Ltd. And Mr. Saugat Mitra, CPO, Mother Dairy.
