100% Summer Placements @ MITSOT

Summer Placements 2011 at MITSOT, which was spread over 2 weeks, concluded on a high note with a total of 80 offers made to a batch of 60, out of which some were even given multiple offers. In all, 100 project offers were made by Telecom, IT and non-IT companies at the Summer Placement Drive.

Key recruiters on campus included Airtel, Reliance Innovation Lab , HCL Infosystems Ltd., Siemens Enterprise Communications Pvt.Ltd , Ac Nielsen, Amul, Tata Communications , Glodyne , Forbes Marshall among  many others. Some of the companies like Fast Track Software Services Pvt. Ltd. Ac Nielsen, Mahindra Hinoday Industries Ltd., Siemens Enterprise Communications Pvt.Ltd. and Aditya Birla Cement are providing stipend to the summer interns.

The process was recognized as being well managed and extremely efficient, favoring both recruiters and students. The number of offers made by the companies was a testament to the robustness of the process. This trend is poised to continue through the Final Placement, establishing “MITSOT” as one of the Premier Telecom Management Institute in India.

Placement Bonanza 2011@MITSOT

MIT School of Telecom Management has achieved two mile stones in the year 2010, “Approval from AICTE and an academic   Tie-up with a Foreign University”. We are proud to announce that from this batch onwards, MITSOT will be providing MBA in Systems and MBA in Marketing.

It was a windfall of Final Placements at the MIT School of Telecom Management in the closing months of academic year 2009-11 with 75% students getting job offers from leading companies. In the post-recession scenario, many companies are recruiting heavily. Most of the jobs offered by the corporates which turned up for Final Placements 2011 are for positions in Chennai, Mumbai, Gujarat, Delhi and Pune.

Several prestigious firms made MITSOT their priority and visited the campus for the first time including Nihilent Technologies Pvt.Ltd. Persistent Systems Ltd, Tata Technologies,Reliance Industries Ltd ,On Mobile , Cybage ,KPMG,Tally India Ltd. etc. In terms of number of offers, “Redington,ICICI Securities & KK Media ” led the way.

A total of 105 offers were made across all verticals and more than 60 firms participated in the process according to the official MITSOT Placement Report.

Telecom System Management

MITSOT Placement Report states that more than 75% of the batch took up roles ranging from Area Sales Manager, Network Manager, Sr. Engineer Design,R&D Manager, Sr.Associates Business Development Manager to Business Analyst. The top recruiters for System specialization are Airtel, Persistent Systems Ltd., Cybage, Compucom System India, KPMG, Redington, Nihilent Technologies Pvt.Ltd., HCL Infosystems, Kosan Crisplant India, I-Blue Infosystems, On Mobile, Tata Technologies,Reliance Industries Ltd., Sai infosystems, Matrix Cellular, Tally India Ltd., Unity Telecom Infrastructure Ltd. Vyom Labs,Tikona Digital Networks,Transparent Technologies, UPASS,Mahindra Hinoday Industries Ltd.,IT companies and the Information Technology sector is back in business.  According to information made available by T&P department, the highest salary of Rs.7 lakh per year is offered by Tally & the average package level is 3 lakh.  Some more TELCOs and Engineering firms like Enhanced software solutions,Bridgestone,CMC India Ltd,Minda Industries,Manikaran Power and Redknee are expected to visit MITSOT in the weeks ahead.

Several doyens from the industry personally visited the campus and were lavish in their praise for the institute.

Marketing

Amongst Financial Institutions, ICICI Securities and JRG Securities Ltd. recruited maximum students from the Institute .The Media sector which predominantly offered roles in Sales & Marketing saw companies like Jupiter Infomedia, KK Media Group, ADDMARC and A9 Advertising & Marketing. In the broader marketing domain, firms such Skoda Auto Ltd., Electronica Mechatronics, Grainger Industrial Supply India Pvt Ltd, Toyota, Café Coffee Day, Samrudda Jeevan Food ltd. and Vin Semiconductors made offers to several marketing enthusiasts. The average salary of the offers in this batch was Rs 3.0 lakh.
