“HR SUMMIT 2012”

The HR summit is a gathering addressing key HR issues. This year MITSOT in association with MIT Group of Institution had organized HR Summit 2012 at MIT Campus on 26th April, 2012 to gain insights on HR issues as well as on the future trends within Corporate India that brings together people from the industry to explore and answer key questions that any organization faces in the sphere of Human Resources.

MITSOT & MIT Group of Institutions had invited well known personnel from the corporate world to share their experiences to the present audience.

An organization’s most important resource is its human capital and like any resource, the way in which it is utilized makes it effective. HR executives are placed with vital responsibilities of identifying, recruiting and retaining their talent as well as keeping them engaged and performing optimally. The key to the long-term success of any organization lies within the ability of the HR executive to successfully perform these responsibilities.

HR Summit, 2012 was an event that provided a platform to discuss on the skills that drive the businesses. This conference was a forum for industry and academia to exchange thoughts and ideas on emerging business issues and was structured as a Corporate Panel Discussion followed by Question Answer session.

This year interesting topics for the HR Summit were:

The Summit started with welcome note by Dr. Mrunal Kothari giving details of summit agenda and introduction of participating invitees.

Concluding session was very interactive, where the panel members answered all the queries with respect to the current HR scenario. Prof.P.Subrahmanyam, Director Industry Academia Collaboration of MIT group of Institutions proposed a hearty Vote of thanks. He also shared with the corporate delegates, the initiatives taken by MIT in bringing the students closer to interact.

INDIA – UK EDUCATION PARTNERSHIP FORUM – 2012

A first-of-its- kind global educational partnership event was held in Pune, India on the 23rd of April, 2012.The UK Trade and Investment / British High Commission India, Maharashtra Institute of Technology (MIT) and All India Shri Shivaji Memorial Society (AISSMS), Pune, hosted a Two Days Education Partnership event of a gathering of erudite academicians from India and the UK to project Pune as ‘An Education Hub’

CHIEF GUEST of honour, Dr. Abhay Wagh, Deputy Secretary- Higher & Technical education ,Government Of Maharashtra, was the Special Guest of Honour .Shrimant chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj from the royal family of the great warrior of India Shri Shivaji Maharaj, Dr.Sunil Karad – Executive Director MIT Group of Institutions, Pune and Mr. Mushtaq Birader from the British High Commission recorded their presence for the Inaugural Session of the Two Days INDIA – UK EDUCATION FORUM-2012. The Summit brought together prominent and leading personalities from the field of Education and Technology, committed to promoting the highest standards of education, value systems and governance in the education sector.

The forum served as a platform, not only for discussions and exchange of ideas, but also for setting standards, measuring results and formulating norms between India and the UK. The forum focussed on addressing issues that would help improve the quality of education, bring a holistic approach to educational infrastructure in the country and also open up new vistas in academic collaborations.

The Partnership forum brought together top 15 British Universities and over 20 institutions from India, specially invited educationists and entrepreneurs related to the education sector. The agenda included Panel discussions on the topics –

i) Collaboration Opportunities for India and UK and

ii) Twinning and student exchange Program- Challenges and Success stories.

The participants got an opportunity to interact with the leaders in education from both the countries and also got an insight into the policies and reforms of India and UK.

A Special Appreciation by MAEER Trustees For Outstanding and extraordinary Achievement of MIT Pune’s MIT School of Telecom Management

A Special Resolution was passed in the meeting of Body of Trustees of MAEER’S MIT Pune. Through this Special Resolution, 14(e)/2012- Research grant to MIT School of Telecom Management (MITSOT) Pune from ICSSR, Proposed by Adv. B. E. Avhad, Seconded by Dr. S. G. Ghaisas, Pointed out by Dr. Sunil Karad, Signed by Prof. Dr. Vishwanath D. Karad, Executive President and Managing Trustee, MAEER’s MIT Pune and Carried away Unanimously, MITSOT was appreciated and congratulated for its outstanding and extraordinary Academic performance, attaining Unique Achievements and thereby ‘Developing the ‘Brand name of MAEER’s MIT Pune’.

By this Resolution, MITSOT’s overwhelming success and achievements made by its Research Team during a very short span of time, under the excellent leadership of Dr. Milind Pande, Project Director, with the valuable support provided by Dr. Sunil Karad, Executive Director and Managing Committee member of MAEER, was placed on record. It further resolved to compliment the Institute for the reward for ‘Excellence in Education’ from ASSOCHEM and Bal Bharti, India through Concern 2012 and winning the title of ‘Best Institute for Telecom Management in Western India by Big Brands Research Pvt. Ltd.

Dr.Milind Pande along with his team MITSOT is sincerely grateful to the Body of Trustee’s, MAEER’S MIT Pune, for this encouraging gesture and is ready to take it as an additional responsibility to Excel in all future endeavors.

Best Telecom Management Institute in West India Award

 

MIT School of Telecom Management has been awarded with “Best Telecom Management Institute in West India” by Brands Academy .Educational Awards were conferred with the Brands Academy Excellence Awards 2012, held on 31st March 2012 at Hotel Crown Plaza, Gurgaon .
