MIT Pune’s MIT School of Telecom Management (MITSOT) had organized “TechHR Summit 2014” for the Seventh Consecutive year on 26th Sept, 2014 at MIT Campus, Pune

This TechHR Summit 2014 was a gathering, addressing the key HR issues and precisely focusing on Technology, a critical factor which influences HR strategy. The objective of this one day conference was to gain insights on HR issues as well as on the technology trends within Corporate India. It brought together people from the industry to explore and answer key questions that any organization faces in the sphere of Human Resources.

The Summit Commenced with welcome speech by Ms. Shobana Anand and the history of MITSOT delivered by Prof. Malhar Pangrikar. Prof. P. Subrahmanyam, Director – Industry Academia Collaboration, MIT Group of Institutions welcomed the gathering. MITSOT T&P has invited well known personnel from the corporate world to share their experiences to the present audience. Our faculty members felicitated the invited guests.

The Theme Address:

An organization’s most significant resource is its Human Capital, and like any resource, the way in which it is utilized makes it effectual. HR executives are placed with crucial responsibilities of identifying, recruiting and retaining their talent as well as keeping them engaged and performing optimally. The key to the long-term success of any organization lies within the ability of the HR executive to successfully perform these responsibilities and hence achieving the company’s goals and objectives.

TechHR Summit, 2014 was an event that provided a platform to discuss on the skills that drive the businesses. This symposium was a forum for industry and academia to exchange thoughts and ideas on emerging business issues and was planned as a Corporate Panel Discussion followed by Question Answer session.

This Summit brought together eminent speakers from the HR fraternity and domain experts.

Discussion was focused on the strategic connect between HR & Technology. This also discussed on the challenges and how to overcome them.

Finance Summit 2014 – Mobile Money: Next Wave of Financial Revolution


Finance Summit 2014
is an unique event that provides platform for discussions, deliberations. This year the theme was Mobile Money Services. The Summit started with Poster Presentation by the students from different Institutions, followed by the Panel Discussion at Swami Vivekananda Sabhagruha, MIT Kothrud, Pune.

Inaugural Ceremony:

 Dr. Milind Pande, Project Director, MITSOT welcomed the Guest, Faculty Members & staff members. He highlighted and briefed on the various Innovations of MITSOT in the different verticals of Telecomm such as M-Education, M-Health, Road Safety, M-Agriculture, etc. The Introductory Remark was Mr. Ravindra Deshmukh, Managing Director, UPASS. The Key note address was given Mr. Vineet Mathur, Deputy Director General, Department of Telecommunications, Telecom Enforcement & Resources Monitoring (TERMs), Pune
