The Meet provides platform for discussions, deliberations. This year the brainstorming was done on agility in pedagogy, Best Practices in Assessment and Corporate Perspectives on Continuous Learning & Certifications. The Meet started with Welcome & Opening remarks by the Project Director, MITSOT at MIT Campus Kothrud, Pune.
The important discussion centered on Curricula design & development. The Board of Studies Members reviewed the course contents across all the three specialisations viz. Systems, Marketing and Finance.
The first session started with brainstorming on Agility in Pedagogy and Prof. Rishi Kappal moderated the session.
The topic Assessment Best Practices was facilitated by Dr. Jaideep Jadhav, Head – Examinations and the BoS Members reviewed and finalised the assessment and evaluation methodology. BoS Members reviewed the student evaluation parameters and methodology based on the best practices followed by the top management Institutes.
The BoS Members also initiated a mini-research project under their guidance in topics that are relevant at that point of time. They also stressed the need to focus on research work in conjunction with the Industry, International association.
The board of studies members identified the courses that currently do not exist in the curriculum but reflect the industry needs – courses on upcoming verticals such as Managed services, VAS, etc. Introduction of Courses based on Business Analytics and the relevant statistics courses. Enhancing the technical aspects of the course related to Telecom Sector through Classroom Coaching, Industry Visits, Projects and Laboratories.
MITSOT Faculty & Board of Studies Members from Companies like Rancore Technologies, Tata Communications Ltd., Indus Towers, Idea Cellular, Vodafone, Airtel, Avaya India & Deloitte – interact twice in a year.
