MITSOT Faculty Team with Participants

The MDP for middle managers of Redington India on  “Winning Recipes to serve your customer” was successfully conducted on 10th and 11th June 2016 at MITSOT.

Redington approached placement Head at MITSOT with the objective of conducting the training program for the selected employees in order to build a leadership pipeline for the organization.

The overall theme was to impart the contemporary tools and techniques for handling the clients successfully which would result in the growth of the business.

Prior to training there was detailed interaction between faculty of MITSOT and DGM training and development, Redington about the contents to be delivered and the expected approach in delivery. The program was customized as per the requirement.

Redington selected 30 middle managers to undergo this specially customized training program .

The MDP started at 9:30 am. On 10th With the MITSOT presentation. The Project Director Dr. Milind Pande addressed the gathering by welcoming Redington team on campus.

On 10th & 11th the MITSOT faculty addressed the participants on topics like Power of Selling, Customer Centric Selling, Selling skills, Credit management, Channel Management, effective communications skills .Professional etiquettes, personality development sessions named as Reflection: The way to excellence, discovering yourself  &  learn to lead. Lot of activities and games giving specific learning outcome also were part of training.

The overall training was very interactive with the involvement of high level of participation from the participants.

The DGM Redington along with all participants highly appreciated the program with the aspiration of attending variety of other modules once again at MITSOT.

MITSOT INDUCTION DAY 2016

The Induction Day for Students of Batch 2016-18 was held on Saturday, 4th June 2016 at the Sant Dnyaneshwar Hall, MIT Campus, Kothrud. This year MITSOT, has till date, 120 admissions, out of which maximum students reported on Day I and they were accompanied by many parents too.

The Induction Day programme had the benefit of presence of leading senior leaders from Industry addressing the students & parents. Mr M S Unnikrishnan, MD & CEO, Thermax Ltd was the Chief Guest while the Guests of Honor were Mr Shantanu Bhattacharya, Head Talent – Corporate HR, Reliance Communications Ltd, Mr Amit Pandey, Senior Vice President & Head Procurement, SCM, HR & Admin, Tikona Digital Networks and Ms Deepti Deshpande, Associate Programme Manager – HR, e-Clerx Ltd. One common point highlighted by these Industry leaders in their address was that the students should focus on Innovation and utilize the technical & management skills that they will learn at MITSOT during their 2 year course to identify solutions for many issues that our country faces today such as Water Management, Energy, Environment, Literacy etc. Our Alumni from Batch 2007-09, Ms Harpreet Kaur Sandhu who is currently working as Team Leader, BNY Mellon too shared her experiences during her student days at MITSOT. Dr. Sanjay Upadhyay, Executive Director – World Peace Centre, MIT Group too motivated the students in his inimitable style.

Dr Milind Pande, Project Director, MITSOT delivered the Welcome Address and shared information on MITSOT, about its dynamic decade-old expertise & experience in the field of excellence in Telecom & Management Studies for the benefit of the audience. He also addressed a separate session of parents sharing information about MIT Group of Institutions, MITSOT, our work culture and the general feedback received from the parents, post this interaction, was a sense of confidence that their wards are in safe hands in terms of their careers & that they, as parents, have made the right decision in choosing MITSOT.

The Faculty of MITSOT too shared comprehensive information on the overall infrastructure, facilities as well as working of various departments such as Library, Academics & Examinations, Placements, Computer Lab etc. A detailed presentation on Student Section and Student’s Code of Conduct too was shared with the students.
