9th Annual Convocation Ceremony of MIT School of Telecom Management (MITSOT) for the Batch (2015-17)

The 9th Annual Convocation Ceremony of MIT School of Telecom Management (MITSOT), for the Batch: 2015-17 students, was held at Sant Dnyaneshwara Hall, MIT College Campus, Paud Road, Kothrud, Pune on 9th September 2017.Dr. Milind Pande, Project Director, MITOST welcomed the guest and highlighted the various achievements like MITSOT being ranked amongst top 50 b Schools in NIRF ranking by Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India, brand ambassadorship of Digital India, Outstanding Placements and recent developments at the Institution.The chief Guest Mr. Himanshu Goel, MD, Syniverse(India Middle East & Africa ) complimented MITSOT for its great achievements. He appealed the students to have an open mind, imagination and being ambitious. He underlined that the students are fortunate and are privileged to be in the Telecom Sector. He concluded the speech with simple message that student should have self-belief and follow their passion.Mr. Mr. Kalpan Desai, VP HR, Janalakshmi Financial Services, Maharashtra,  the guest of honour shared his words of wisdom and showed the willingness to help the young minds. He highlighted the opportunities in digital world, staggering data consumption and evolution of connected Intelligence.Mr. Vivek Golani, Regional Director -West, Spice Digital Ltd complimented for its various achievements. He reinforced the importance of continuous learning, dignity in work, discovering the virtues and challenging oneself.Dr. Vishwanath D Karad, Founder- President and Director General, MAEER’s MIT Pune, presided over the ceremony. He first of all congratulated the parents, awardees and all the post-graduating students. He reminded that the words of Swami Vivekananda will be realised in the 21st Century and India will be emerge as the Knowledge corridor of the world. This will be the century of mother India. He also said that religion is nothing but performing one’s duties. Religion is simply a way of life. The whole universe is the manifestation of pure intelligence and pure consciousness. He concluded that Union of Science and Spirituality alone will bring peace to the mankind. Dr. Karad dwelled upon the need for research on understanding networking and chemistry of minds. He urged the students to be physically fit, mentally alert, spirituality elevated, and intellectually sharp. The passing out students were blessed by the Founder & Executive President of MAEER’s MIT, Pune, Hon. Dr Vishwanath. D. Karad, in his Presidential Speech.

The ceremony was graced by stalwarts from the Industry, Board of Studies members, Academia and Digital and Print Media besides Alumni participants of MITSOT.

The function was attended by the both visiting and regular faculty members, non-teaching staff & students of the Institution.

The number of students who were awarded Degree Certificates at this convocation was 118. Besides the award of degree at the Institute, students were also awarded various prizes and medals for their meritorious and extracurricular performance. This reciprocal speech was given by Ms. Sayali Dipankar, Ms. Priyamvada Chauhan, Ms. Shruti Shrivastava and Mr. Lucky Wadhwani.
