As part of the ‘Digital India Week’ from 6 July to 11 July, MITSOT had organised a ‘Digital India General Quiz’ wherein participants were invited from colleges in Pune. The even received an overwhelming response. Over 125 teams (2 participants per team) registered for the event.
The competition was conducted on Friday 10 July in three stages. The first stage was an online test comprising of multiple-choice GK questions. From this top 16 teams were selected for the stage rounds.
All 16 teams were taken through the initial preliminary rounds of quiz, which comprised multiple-choice questions, direct questions and a buzzer round. Four teams scoring the highest points out of the preliminary rounds were selected for the final round.
The final round consisted of visual round, MCQ, buzzer round and a rapid-fire round. The contest turned out to be very close and the audience was highly impressed by the performance of the participants. In the end, the team from MIT-COE emerged the winner, closely followed by MIT-School of Business as 1st runner-up and MIT-SOT as 2nd runner-up.
The winner and 1st runner-up teams were awarded ‘Tablets’ besides certificates of merit. The competition was highly appreciated by the participants as well as the audience for the quality of it’s content as well as execution.
