The inaugural session of the Induction Program for the 2014-16 Batch was held on July 07, 2014 at St. Dnyaneshwara Hall, MIT Campus, Pune.
Dr. Milind Pande, Project Director, MIT University’s MITSOT welcomed and congratulated the Students and the Parents of the First ever batch of MIT University’s MITSOT. Dr. Milind Pande flashbacked on the Journey of MAEER’s MIT from 1983 to date. He also underlined the significance of four D’s i.e. Determination, Dedication, Devotion and Decency, part of the MIT Culture. He also inspired the students to be physically fit, mentally alert, intellectually sharp and spiritually elevated so as to develop the wining personalities. He urged the students on genuine need for research to bring accolades to one’s own country.
Ms. Renuka Krishna, AVP Talent Acquisition, KPIT inaugurated the program as per tradition. While addressing the new batch, Ms. Renuka reinforced the need for efforts and improving personality. Further she quoted the adage, “As you think, so you become”. She also highlighted the importance of Positive thinking, setting goals, Strength, Weakness, Opportunities and Challenges Analysis, and above all the passion to be an achiever. She gave the simple example of the growth of trees viz, sowing seeds, nurturing, absorbing sunlight, etc. She wished the best luck to all the students.
Mr. Kousik Gupta, DGM-Technical, Bharti Airtel also complimented Dr. Vishwanath D Karad for immense contribution towards MAEER’s MIT Pune. He explained the evolution of Telecom Technologies. He also gave the three mantras to students essential for learning.
Mr. Chandranil Das Gupta, motivational speaker and IIM alumni shared his words of wisdom with the young minds. He highlighted the values like Integrity, Patience, nurturing dreams etc.
Mr. Rishi Kappal complimented and appreciated MITSOT for its skill development initiatives, decoded the word “manage”, underlined the need for trained mind. He also guided the students on the importance of planning, organizing and then welcome them to heaven.
Mr. Ravindra B Deshmukh, MD, UPASS and Dr. Milind Pande inaugurated the launch of Cashless Campus Card on the MIT Campus for the benefit of the student community.This is first ever cashless campus card implementation. Students would be enabled to transfer money through their mobiles by using this card.
The Master of Ceremony was executed by the Students of Batch 2013-2015. Dr. Jaideep Jadhav, Head-Academics, MITSOT expressed the vote of thanks.
