Thursday, 14th August 2014: The young managers from MIT School of Telecom Management had their Industrial Visit to a very innovative and complete city called LAVASA. The visit was coordinated by MITSOT’s placement head Mrs. Shobhana Anand. This city is just 45km away from renowned city Pune and 95km from India’s Financial Capital i.e. Mumbai. The Visit was planned to understand the development of Lavasa city which is under Lavasa Corporation. The city is full of scenic beauty and which will attract investors from all the section of society except Manufacturing as the city does not promote Pollution.
During the study, our young managers came to know about the development of the city from just a Blue print to a tourist and investment sector. The students asked the role of a manager in coming days and scope of students from different domains such as Marketing, Finance and Systems (Technical). The city is self-sufficient in terms of day to day life as it has Schools, Management College, Banks, Hotels etc. The visit was well organised with full-fledged support from Lavasa Corporation. It surely motivated the budding managers and gave them more opportunities to look ahead for their career.
Thank You MITSOT!!!!!
