In addition to co-curricular & extra-curricular activities, the management also encourages to organize some social activities like tree plantation, participation in a noble social project undertaken of "Removal of Water Pollution & Environmental Protection" at Alandi which results into availability of pure drinking water, bathing facilities etc. for millions of pilligrims coming to Alandi - a holly pilgrimage center.

The blood donation camp is regularly organized twice in a year with the help of NCC Troop of the college.

Two cadets of NCC Troop voluntarily work regularly at CIPLA CNTRE for advance stage cancer patients located at Warje area, Pune. This is done in rotation and continuously throughout the year except for examination schedule.

Cultural programmes are conducted for old age homes and for an orphanage & cancer patients. These programmes are conducted once in every semester. Any other help required is provided through interaction.

Creative Activities Started By The College On Its Own:
The College publishes quarterly journal under the name MAEER'S MIT Pune Journals devoted to science, technology and humanity which is widely acknowledged as the best journal through which the messages of the great scientist, thinkers and philosophers reached the intellectuals, youth of India and the student community at large.

The college has established "Astronomy Club" which organizes various events related to astronomy in the college like Extraterrestrial Life, Astronomy Show, and Video on the Hubble Telescope etc. The college has recently established a "Rapid Proto-tying Centre" with a view to do research & consultancy work in co-ordination of some industries. It is helpful to the B.E.Mechanical students for selecting as an elective.

The "Production activity of Furniture Items" is started since establishment of the college. The useful furniture items like tables, chairs, stools, drawing tables, racks etc. are manufactured by assigning such type of jobs to students for their workshop practical.

The college has established a separate "Robotics Laboratory" in the Department of Mechanical Engineering. The college has purchased a Robotic Kit useful for creating Robot. This is helpful to the student community for developing ideas through simulation.

The college has started Mould Manufacturing activity in the Department of Polymer Engineering. This creative activity has been started with a view to produce utility items like stoppers, plastic/PVC pipe etc. useful in the departments.

Adult And Continuing Education Programme:
Student Personality Development programme The institute organizes a special lectures series every year for the students of First Year engineering. The eminent personalities deliver lectures, which are very useful to the students for their overall personality development.

MIT Career Guidance Centre - The College is regularly conducting programmes for engineering students for their preparation of GRE, TOFEL, SAT, ILDS & GMAT examinations through the centre. The college is running some of the Post-Graduate Engineering Courses in Civil Structures, Civil Construction & Management, Electronics Digital Systems, Petroleum and Polymer for the students who desires to continue their studies after graduation.

Foreign Language Courses The part-time evening courses affiliated to Pune University are conducted on the campus of the foreign languages like French, German, and Japanese etc.

N.C.C. activity is regularly & effectively functioning in the college.
