MITSOT in association with CII had organized TeleTech for the third consecutive year on 18th Jan, 2012 at Hotel The Westin, Koregaon Park, Pune from 9:30 to 18:00 hrs. The theme for the one day conference being, “NTP 2011 : Realizing the vision”, this initiative by MITSOT-CII received a huge response from 103 corporates and 38 academicians who attended the seminar.
MIT Pune’s MIT School of Telecom Management (MITSOT) is an AICTE approved college, one of the premier institutes in India established in 2007. MITSOT provided this platform for

The objective of this conference was to discuss about the New National Telecom Policy 2011 benefits for "Aam Aadmi".
The session ‘Made in India’ promoted India as the next manufacturing hub. The VAS focused on developing vernacular content. For End Users the highlighted issues were
- Nation-wide MNP without having to pay ‘roaming charges’,
- No distinction between STD and local calls
- ‘Right to broadband’,
- Strengthen consumer protection act
- Strengthening grievance redressal mechanisms.

The Inaugural Ceremony opened up a new chapter for the Indian telecom industry with the special highlight on release of the TeleTech Report on ‘National Telecom Policy 2011 : A pragmatic road ahead’ by the experts. This was followed by three panel discussions
Session 1 :“NTP 2011 – Vision, Challenges & Opportunities”.
The Panel discussion was based on the goals to set for Aam Aadmi to revolutionize this world for the coming decade, to provide the people of India secure, reliable, affordable and high quality converged telecommunication services anytime, anywhere. The esteemed panelists were,

Session 2 : “Made in India – The next Telecom manufacturing hub.”
The telecom leaders of India in the panel discussed and provided insights to help India achieve leadership position in telecom equipment manufacturing sector. The esteemed panelists were,

Creation of roadmap for India to become a leader in cutting edge, state of art technologies through R&D and Indian IPRs in global standards was also discussed.
Session 3 : “Rural Inclusion & Telecom”
This panel discussed on bridging the digital divide between the internet empowered urban India and rural India. It is the mobile which is the perfect medium for delivery of services and content to the common man through MVAS and broadband. The esteemed panelists were
